Senior Housing Officer - Specialist Support (Fixed Term up to 12 months)

Having just celebrated ten years of the Social Inclusion Partnership, we are excited about the future of our supported homeless pathway in Basingstoke and Deane.

The role of Senior Housing Officer – Specialist Support will compliment the work we are doing in the borough to support those experiencing or at risk of homelessness and be part of a well-established team making a difference to some of the most vulnerable residents in our local community. This comes at a time when there are a range of changes and challenges to the homeless support offer in Basingstoke and we will look to this role to steer through the complex environment and take on opportunities to best support the homeless community

The ideal candidate will work in a trauma informed way, with a good understanding of multiple and complex needs. You will co-ordinate and facilitate clients move-on from emergency/temporary housing into more settled accommodation and take a creative approach to supporting clients to access appropriate housing and prevent them from returning to the streets.

You will work collaboratively with partner agencies such as, The Camrose Centre, Outcome Home, Julian House, Mary Rose Court, the Prevention and Support team and criminal justice lead to meet the often complex and multiple needs of the clients and support them to access and engage with mental health, alcohol and substance misuse, and specialist complex needs services.

If you want to make a difference in the local community this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
