Housing Standards Enforcement Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Housing Standards team in a newly created post. We are at the frontline of public health, improving housing conditions, inspecting HMO’s and taking action against the small proportion of landlords that do not meet minimum safety standards as well as dealing with the provisions of the Renters Rights Act 2025.
You are a great communicator with determination and humour. As a team player you can build relationships and instil confidence in the people you meet. You have a practical, problem solving approach based on common sense and an excellent knowledge of the legislation.
IT systems such as Databases and Microsoft Office will be second nature for you to write letters, emails and reports.
For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact Chris Williams, Regulatory Services Manager on 01256 845221 or by email at chris.williams@basingstoke.gov.uk
