Cleansing Operative (Fly Tipping)
If you enjoy working outdoors, have an eye for detail, like to take pride in your work and the local area, then this could be just the job for you.
You will be working as a front-line service street cleaner to provide a safe and clean environment for the residents within the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council area. A full car driving licence C1 is required to drive the Fly Tip vehicle - 7.5t. Successful candidates will have opportunities to learn and develop new skills with a wide range of Street Cleaning equipment.
You will be reliable, have a 'can do' attitude and a commitment to working safely. You’ll need to be highly motivated, with an attention to detail as you may be working alone or as part of a team. It is important you are organised and able to take direction whilst having a proactive and flexible approach to work.
Key Requirements
- Operate equipment in accordance with experience and training.
- Able to carry out physically demanding duties.
- Able to work safely within guidance and legislation.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Ability to be flexible working on different tasks in wider areas.
You will work out of our Wade Road depot.
