Change and Project Officer

The Project Management and Improvement Office is an ever-growing and developing team that ensures the high-quality delivery of projects, programmes, and change initiatives. You will be joining a well-established team that strives to be the centre of excellence; providing targeted support, management, and expertise to the projects and change initiatives across the organisation.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding and appreciation of both project and change management, with experience of supporting/managing projects and change initiatives of various size and complexity. You will be joining a strong and dedicated team of individuals with a passion for continuously improving, meaning it is important that you share our outlook of striving for excellence. Due to the fast-paced environment it is important that you are flexible in the ability to work with different services and individuals on a day-to-day basis.
It is important that you are able to appreciate the environment of local government, with the unique governance arrangements we operate within and to prioritise a customer-focused approach in all aspects of our work.
Further attributes we are looking for include:
- Required to have an Association of Project Management PFQ or Prince 2 Foundation qualification
- It is desirable to have a Change Foundation Certifications (APMQ)
- Experience in supporting the management of varied projects and change initiatives, as well as
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with stakeholders
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving environments and requirements.
- Experience with key IT systems such as the M365 suite, including the addition of Microsoft Projects.
- The ability to collect and manipulate data in order to report effectively on the pressures of change.
- A passion for innovation and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A strong orientation of being customer focused.
